Delete your account

There are two different things people ask us for. Pick the one that describes you.

I have an account and I want it deleted

You signed up, saved stylists, and now you want out. You can do this yourself in the app:

  1. Open Stylist Checked
  2. Go to Settings, or open your Profile
  3. Choose Delete account
  4. Confirm

This removes your account and everything attached to it: saved stylists, plans, occasions and saved inspiration. It cannot be undone, and we cannot restore it afterwards.

If you cannot get into the app, email us from the address you signed up with and we will do it for you.

I am a stylist and I want my profile removed

This is different, and you do not need an account for it.

Stylist Checked lists beauty professionals so people can find them. Profiles are built from information that is already public, which means you may be listed without ever having signed up.

If you would rather not be listed, email us and we will take your profile down. Tell us the profile name and, if you can, a link to it. We action removal requests promptly.

Questions people ask

Will deleting my account remove my stylist profile?
No. They are separate. An account is something you created. A profile is a listing about a beauty professional. If you want both gone, say so in your email.
Can I delete my account without emailing you?
Yes. Deletion in the app is immediate and does not need our involvement. Email is only there for when you cannot reach the app.
Do I need to cancel a subscription first?
Subscriptions are handled by Apple, not by us, so deleting your account does not cancel one. Cancel in your iPhone Settings under your Apple Account, then Subscriptions.
What if I change my mind?
Deletion is permanent. You can sign up again, but your old saves, plans and inspiration will not come back.
